[Recap] Strengths in Higher Ed, the Clifton Strengths Institute and StrengthsQuest

On a recent Called to Coach, we spoke with the Executive Director of the Clifton Strengths Institute at the University of Nebraska College of Business Administration, Mark Pogue.








Mark was one of the creators of StrengthsQuest -- an initiative to transform students' lives through strengths. Today, StrengthsQuest has grown into a development and engagement program to help students and educators use strengths to achieve academic and career success. This program has been invaluable in introducing strengths to educational organizations across the U.S.  

In the early spring of 2015, the leader of the Don Clifton  Strengths Institute asked Mark to move to Lincoln, Nebraska to spearhead the institute’s work at the University of Nebraska. Mark couldn’t wait to begin a new adventure. After spending almost 15 years introducing strengths to college campuses across the U.S., Mark was thrilled to stay "on site" at a campus for the long term.

Mark Pogue has been with Gallup since 2000 in learning and development roles, including as a Learning and Development Senior Consultant. Recently, Mark was asked to lead the Clifton Strengths Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mark created StrengthsQuest -- an initiative used at over 600 campuses and 2 million people to learn and use their strengths both inside and outside the classroom.
